“Most people don’t know what they want so they choose something they’re told they should want. For me, I’m still trying to figure out what the right thing to do is. But I think everyone does that until they die. You never know exactly how to live because it’s not something that can be known.
There’s no prescription for life. I think that’s the biggest issue that’s facing us today. We don’t know what to do with all we have. Most of us aren’t desperate to find shelter or food anymore, and so we’re left trying to figure out what’s the point of all this.
But, I don’t think there is a point to it. Life exists just because it has to. Life is a natural part of this world just like the stars or the planets. I don’t know why we have this thirst for meaning. Why can’t things just be themselves and that’s it?
I think the answer comes in giving up trying to solve it all. It’s important to just accept that some days I feel like shit and nothing makes sense, and some days everything will seem incredibly beautiful. I don’t want to spend my time searching for answers that don’t exist. It makes no sense.
Trying to find an answer to life’s metaphysical questions is like trying to taste your own tongue – it doesn’t work.“

About 500 Coffees ☕️
I'm on a mission to get coffee with 500 strangers from all over the world. I want to speak to humans everywhere about their lives and how they experience the world. And cafes are the perfect place for this. Comfortable, cosy, illuminated with a cacophony of other human voices.
